Commercial Refurbishment Contractors
Brief a contractor

How our service works

Commercial Refurbishment Contractors is a free introduction service. We help estates and facilities managers, business owners, schools and healthcare providers find an independent contractor for refurbishment and fit-out work, and we are open about how that works.

Four steps

  1. Send the brief

The building postcode, the package and sector, floor area, timing and how to reach you. Three short steps.

  2. We look for a contractor

An independent commercial refurbishment contractor that works in your area and takes on projects of your size and sector.

  3. You hear who it is

We email or phone with the firm's name. Your details stay with us until you confirm you would like to hear from them.

  4. Site visit and proposal

They walk the building with you and put a written proposal in front of you. You decide whether it goes any further; the building contract, if there is one, is yours and theirs alone.

What we don't do

  • No building, design or pricing work is done by us; that is the contractor's role.
  • You are never invoiced by us.
  • A brief is held here until you say yes to the one contractor we name, and is then sent to that firm only.
  • No mailing lists, newsletters or follow-up sales calls.

Where our income comes from

Contractors pay an introduction fee when we put them in touch with a client. The client side is free throughout, and stays free if the project never goes ahead.

Our costs and guidance

Every cost on these pages is a range taken from published UK cost guides, public benchmarks or public contract award notices, shown before VAT and reviewed periodically. They are for setting a budget; a firm price only comes once a contractor has seen the building. Where we summarise legislation or guidance, it is a plain-English overview and should not be relied on as legal or technical advice for your premises.

Brief a contractor

Three short steps: where the building is, what the scope is, and who to speak to. Rough answers are fine; a contractor firms them up on a site visit.

Your brief stays with us until you approve the independent commercial refurbishment contractor we name for your building.
